ARTWORK STATEMENT

I don't think there is more pleasure than when we choose to care for, protect and love ourselves first. Love starts with one. "Protection" speaks of self-love, of prioritizing ourselves, of raising energy. It speaks of desire and touch with oneself. And, even if sometimes you can't control the external, you can always go back to that inner calm.

“MUTATION ” SERIES STATEMENT

After going through the first year of the pandemic, after all the wounds are out in the open, and society has had to rethink its ways, after a constant uncertainty and a mandatory reinvention, "Mutación" is born, a series that allows itself to be crossed by that which we cannot control. The painting becomes more chaotic, the dripping making reference to all those uncontrollable moments of life. It is to be able to face and transform situations. It is to break into pieces and put them back together again. It speaks of the randomness of life, of the uncontrollable, the uncertainty. Understanding life as a set of unplanned events where we are constantly adapting, and even believing to have everything under control, life moves us and in it there is nothing fixed.
