ARTWORK STATEMENT
Our own flight, that daily step by step, that project that we didn't count until it was it became a reality. The adrenaline of the unseen work, of the struggle between all the "I's" we inhabit. the "I" that we inhabit. The decisions, the choices, the fears and the joy. That challenge of the blank canvas, that conviction of creating where you want to be.
“NEW BEGGININGS” SERIES STATEMENT
In the midst of a constant process of self-knowledge, rethinking, healing and self-love, from which the series "The skin as a shield" was born, being a pictorial catharsis of feelings and needs; it arises as a transformation, a dream, and the desire for a new beginning "New beginnings", referring to the natural process of life. No flower was born as a flower, rather it was a seed. Submerged in the dark, damp and cold earth. Hence its strength, and dedication to bloom. The search for light. The impulsiveness remains a manifesto marked by the grotesque, spontaneous, imperfect and lively brushstroke. The layers of oil on the canvas will be the constant reminder of the road traveled. The focus ceases to be that of individuality and becomes that of a new paradigm, where the change is urgent, and the need to flourish is urgent, and the need to flourish is massive. Inviting to connect with oneself, from the vulnerability of the body, the connection with the simple. Going from the inside out. A path of love inward, to then expand it to the whole. And thus, to bloom.
